The Count Down

Well, the count down is officially on I guess. It's Monday morning and we will be going to Peru on Friday the 4th. I need to start packing and rechecking all of my gear for the trip. With a full week at work, I won't have too much time to get ready. I'm excited, but a little nervous as well. This will be my first time doing mission work in Peru. Not sure what to expect but definitely fired up. I'll report every chance I get as long as internet service holds out. 'Til next time.....

My First Blog

                      

Well, this is my first attempt a publishing a blog. Maybe it won't be a blah. Over time I will report on all of my mission trip efforts, as well as, other interesting tidbits. So far, with a group from my home congregation at Hoover Church of Christ in Hoover, Alabama, I've been to Tanzania, Africa two times, Linden, Guyana two times, and about to head to Cuzco, Peru for a first time. This upcoming trip will be different from those in the past because we will focus on staffing a medical clinic and hopefully conducting a few Bible studies. The past trips involved all day door knocking and Bible studies with the local peoples, baptizing some into Christ. Although we always like to accomplish more, all trips are successful at sowing the seed. I look forward to many more oportunities to spread the Word, at home and abroad.
